    1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 cup hot water
    6 tablespoons evaporated milk
    1 teaspoon almond extract
    Whipped cream, for serving

In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and hot water. Heat in the microwave until sugar is dissolved, about 30 secs. Cool for a few minutes then add evaporated milk and almond extract to the bowl.
